AT&T Connects Business Customers With New Wi-Fi-Enabled BlackBerry Pearl 8120 - Image 1 If you’re in the market for a smartphone, you might want to take a look at the new BlackBerry offering from Research in Motion: the Pearl 8120. So what does the Pearl have that others don’t? Undead pirates. Get it? Blackberry Pearl? Undead pirates? Never mind.

The BlackBerry 8120 separates itself from its 2110 and 8130 siblings by kicking it up a notch for its business clientele, substituting Wi-Fi access for GPS connectivity.

The feature’s great for those whose businesses (or pleasure) takes them all over the globe. The Pearl bagged AT&T as its Wi-Fi carrier, the same carrier that Apple got for the iPhone.

Aside from the Wi-Fi access, the Pearl also has improved multimedia capabilities that only the later 8130 phones once enjoyed like an externally accessible microSD/SDHC slot, and a 2 megapixel camera. It also has Bluetooth support for headsets, vehicle kits, and the like.

The Blackberry Pearl 8120 is available for business customers at US 199.99, with a two-year contract. You can also get a subscription to AT&T’s Mobile Music too.
